Procedure

Step 1

  • Please apply your passport before participation this program. Your valid passport must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity and at least one blank visa page in it.
  • Book Air tickets.  (Check in after 3PM at George Washington University housing on  July,29 .1 2012 And check out before 11 AM on Aug. 3 2012)
  • Call Center:  Applicant need purchase the pre-paid PIN card that allows you to make an appointment   through   Visa Information Call Center  at most CITIC branches and Candidates set appointments, individually, with the U.S. Consulates in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu at early of May.

  • Please download inportant information that you need when you fill out the DS-160 Form
    You can access the DS-160 from the Consular Electronic Application Center website or from the link on the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website
  • Please inform the Webster office your interview appointment number and date.
  • Webster office will issue a letter and fax our group interview appointments to U.S. Consulate before you take interview. 
  • Pay the first half of deposit to George Washington University housing because the GWU housing are so tight in summer.  We need makes a reservation and pay the deposit to GWU in advance and make sure GWU hold a room for us.  Please note the deposit is not refundable.

 Step 2

  • Pay the program fee RMB 3200  
  • Get invitation letter from Webster
  • Pay visa fee at CITIC Bank around RMB904. 
  • Prepare visa application documents

Step 3

  • Interview at U.S. Consulate and successful get Visa
  • Pay the second half of GWU Housing
  • Issue the air tickets and send flight information to Webster Staff
  • Short-term Travel insurance: get locally in China and coverage the period you are in US, around RMB   1000.
