Purpose

Allow graduate students to gather information and discuss changes in the U.S. economy.  The U.S. market and economy are both important to the health and function of China and the EU.  Many students, and many of their companies, depend on the U.S. market.
Washington, D.C. is unique in terms of location of business associations, government agencies and NGOs.  Within a small area and a short amount of time, we can meet with meet with a wide range of association people, economists, business journalists, and agency people.

In addition to the opportunity to better understand the current course of U.S. economy, we would like to hold number meetings with agencies and association that are interested in product quality, safety and efficacy. These agencies and associations include:

Visa Application:

Webster will issue invitation letter to the students once you submit your complete application form, the students need to get visa at US Consulates at Chengdu, Shanghai and Guang Zhou. Webster will meet or talk with all of the visa officers.
Applicant need purchase the pre-paid PIN card that allows you to make an appointment through the Visa Information Call Center at most CITIC branches and please  inform the Webster office your interview appointment No. and date.

Cost Estimation:

Housing Fee: about USD35/day double room, USD57/day single room
Program Fee: about RMB3200/person.
Short-term Travel insurance: get locally and coverage the period you are in US.
                        About RMB1000
Access Card and Key deposit: $115(Around RMB800).
Webster will refund your deposit once you return keys and card to GWU check in place.
Air ticket: Students will get tickets by own
Transportation fee: GW is 4 block for White House, easy to get subway
Meals: No meals included in the program, students will get their own meals
Webster University, Washington, D.C. will provide a list of reasonably priced meal locations. 

How do I apply?

If you want to take this program, please let the Webster office know about your plan by 01 March. 
Please download Application Form and email the completed form to the Webster Office by the deadline indicated.
Only complete applications will be accepted.
