Webster University was established in 1915 in St. Louis, USA. It is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and the North Central Association, and its Business and Management Programs receive prestigious ACBSP accreditation.
Since 1996, Webster has been a landmark in global business education in the People's Republic of China . It was the first to be recognized by the Beijing Ministry of Education for Joint MBA instruction, and the first to be recognized by Beijing in the West – in Chengdu – International MBA.
Today, cooperating with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), the program operates in Shanghai , and Shenzhen.  With Ministry of Education authority, Webster joined with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Chengdu .  Today there are over 1000 MBA graduates in China .
