Semester in China introduction , Undergraduate

Webster University and our partner, Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) provide an annual Chinese Studies program in Beijing. The content of the program is presented and discussed in English. One course is devoted to Chinese culture and “getting around China in very basic Chinese.”

Webster's Semester in China program is aimed at students with an interest in Asian or Chinese cultures. The program is ideal for students who are interested in international affairs or trade. Students take between 12-18 credit hours, including required 3-credit “Chinese Ways " course designed to introduce students to Beijing and Chinese culture. Students with advanced Mandarin proficiency may also choose from the regular course offerings at BLCU. Courses utilize Beijing as a living classroom, and weave excursions, independent projects, lectures and group work together into a comprehensive experiential learning environment.

Program starts in Beijing approximately September 5, 2010. Application before June 1, 2010.
